FAQ

Frequently asked
questions.

Sub-Lessee drivers lease a 2024 Tesla Model Y from Drivision at $550/week all-inclusive and keep 70% commission on all bookings. The weekly rental is a fixed cost regardless of booking volume. Company Drivers operate under a Driver Services Agreement using a Drivision-owned vehicle — there is no fixed weekly rental, but a 50% Vehicle Maintenance Fee is deducted from the net fare paid to the driver on each booking. Drivision provides a fuel card to Company Drivers, covering all fuel costs.
Your ACT driver's licence must carry the H condition (hire vehicle operations) and the D condition (driver accreditation for hire cars and rideshare). The O condition (Omnibus/Bus) is optional for most roles but is required if you want to drive the Drivision 11-seater minibus. Drivers without O can operate all other vehicles in the fleet.
Your National Police Check must have been completed within the last 6 months. Checks older than 6 months will not be accepted. You can obtain a National Police Check through the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) or accredited third-party providers.
No. The Company Driver arrangement is governed by a Driver Services Agreement and is not a sub-lease, hire arrangement, bailment, or any form of proprietary interest in the vehicle. The vehicle remains the sole property of Drivision Pty Ltd at all times and may be withdrawn at the company's discretion. Drivers must not use the vehicle outside of booked duties.
The $550/week rental includes registration, comprehensive insurance, all scheduled maintenance and servicing, the Waves monthly subscription, and the Tesla Technology Connection. The driver is responsible for charging costs (typically $30–$50/week) and tyre replacement. A $1,100 security bond (two weeks rental) is payable on commencement — either upfront or at $275/week over 4 weeks.
Sub-Lessee drivers with D accreditation can accept rideshare work through approved platforms like Uber during periods without Drivision bookings. This is a great way to offset the weekly vehicle rental during low-volume periods. Company Driver rideshare eligibility is discussed at onboarding as it is subject to the specific vehicle assigned.
Yes. A minimum of 2 years professional driving experience in either hire car or rideshare is required for both the Sub-Lessee and Company Driver positions. This is an essential requirement and is verified during the application process.
Once you submit a complete application with all required documentation, the verification process typically takes 2–3 business days. After approval and RideMinder® training (approximately 1–2 hours), you can begin accepting bookings. Most drivers are earning within 2 weeks of their initial application.
Yes. Drivision Mobility Solutions provides NDIS-compliant supported transport and community access services. Drivers working in this division must complete additional training including the Epilepsy Management Plan and follow strict supported transport protocols including hard handover to care workers.

Rideshare Drivers Two pathways depending on your accreditation
01 Fleet Operators & Transport Businesses

Your business.
Our network. Mutual growth.

Already running a licensed passenger transport operation? RideMinder® lets you generate your own bookings, build your own client base, and run your fleet your way — while sitting inside a preferred referral network with Drivision. When either of us has overflow, we refer to each other. Everyone grows.

🤝
The Drivision Preferred Network

Once you're on RideMinder®, you're eligible to join Drivision's preferred operator network. We refer overflow to trusted partners — airport runs, corporate jobs, events, and interstate transfers we can't cover. You do the same for us. No exclusivity, no lock-in, no commission on your existing business.

🌏
Open to All States & Territories

We're actively building our preferred network across ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS, and NT. Regional, airport, and interstate corridor operators are all welcome.

🚗
Accredited Solo Operators

One vehicle, full operator accreditation. RideMinder® gives you the tech stack of a large fleet. Build a premium brand and client base that's entirely yours, with Drivision overflow on top.

🚐
Small Fleets (2–10 vehicles)

Manage drivers and vehicles from one dashboard. Dispatch jobs, track fleet activity, and grow your client base without expensive custom software.

🏢
Established Operators

Already running a solid operation? Join the preferred network for high-quality overflow from Drivision and network partners. Add revenue without adding marketing spend.

✈️
Airport & Corridor Specialists

Covering Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or interstate corridors? You're exactly who our corporate clients need when Drivision can't directly service them.

To join the Drivision preferred network:
Current passenger transport operator accreditation for your state/territory
Active RideMinder® account (or willingness to onboard)
Executive-class vehicles — no economy sedans or hatchbacks
ABN and GST registration
Comprehensive commercial passenger vehicle insurance
Commitment to Drivision service standards on referred jobs
Second Pathway
02 Rideshare Drivers

Two ways to step up
from rideshare.

Where you start depends on your current accreditation. If you have an operator licence, RideMinder® lets you go fully independent anywhere in Australia. If you're working toward one and based in ACT or NSW — the two states where Drivision holds operator accreditation — you can drive under Drivision's licence while you work toward your own.

Fully Independent
You have an operator accreditation

If you hold both a hire vehicle driver accreditation and a passenger transport operator licence, you can operate fully independently on RideMinder®. Set up your own profile, market your own services, and take 100% of the bookings you generate. Join the Drivision preferred network for overflow referrals on top.

1Join RideMinder® as an independent operator
2Build your public profile and booking page
3Generate your own leads — keep everything you earn
4Register for the Drivision preferred network for overflow

Building Toward Independence — ACT & NSW Only
You have driver accreditation — not yet an operator (ACT & NSW)

In Australia, a rideshare driver must operate under a passenger transport operator licence — either their own or someone else's. Drivision holds operator accreditation in ACT and NSW only. If you're based in either of those states and don't yet have your own operator licence, you can drive under Drivision's authorisation while you work toward your own. Once you obtain your operator accreditation, you graduate to full independence on RideMinder®.

1Apply to drive under Drivision's operator licence (ACT & NSW only)
2Receive pre-booked Drivision jobs via RideMinder®
3Work toward your own operator accreditation
4Graduate to your own independent RideMinder® profile — build your brand, generate your own leads, and start taking direct bookings

⚖️

Important — Australian regulatory requirement: All passenger transport operators in Australia must hold a current operator accreditation issued by their state or territory authority. A hire vehicle driver accreditation alone does not permit independent operation. Drivision holds operator accreditation in ACT (HC164S / TBS0018 / ACTBS141TC) and NSW (BSP-438191) only. Drivers in VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS, and NT must hold their own operator accreditation before partnering with Drivision.
